Vinyasa WHAT? Understanding Alignment & Flow
Demystifying Vinyasa Flow, alignment, and the biomechanics behind common yoga poses.

Have you ever been in a yoga class and wondered:
“What exactly is a Vinyasa?”
“Am I doing this pose correctly?”
“Why does this feel so different in my body compared to everyone else?”

 

This workshop is designed to help you slow down, ask questions, and truly understand the foundations of your yoga practice — without pressure or intimidation.

Together, we’ll break down some of the most common yoga postures and transitions step by step, exploring how to move with more awareness, stability, breath, and confidence.

This is not about achieving the “perfect pose.”
It’s about understanding your body and building a practice that feels supportive, sustainable, and empowering.

 

During the workshop, we will explore:

  • What “flow through your Vinyasa” actually means

  • How to connect movement with breath

  • Sun Salutations broken down step by step

  • Alignment principles in foundational poses

  • Common mistakes and how to avoid discomfort

  • Variations and modifications for different bodies and abilities

  • Techniques and preparation for more challenging poses like Bakasana (Crow Pose)

 

Whether you’re completely new to yoga or already practicing regularly, this workshop will help you feel more confident, connected, and at ease on your mat.

 

Expect a supportive atmosphere, plenty of guidance, and space to be curious, explore, and learn.

About Viola​

Senior Yoga Teacher | Continuing Education Teacher Trainer Provider

Viola is the founder of MakeYoga and a Senior Yoga Teacher with nearly a decade of teaching experience across London and internationally. Having begun her own yoga journey over seventeen years ago, she has trained with world-renowned teachers including David Swenson, Patrick Beach, Bridget Woods Kramer, and Nik Klironomos, among others.

Alongside teaching public classes, workshops, and retreats in the UK and abroad, Viola is also a Continuing Education Teacher Trainer Provider, passionate about helping both students and teachers deepen their understanding of movement, alignment, breathwork, and functional anatomy.

90-Minute Deep-Dive, Peak Pose Class

Join our SPRING Yoga Lab Series, a 90-minute yoga class designed to take you beyond a standard yoga sequence.
Yoga Lab is more than just a class — it’s a movement laboratory for those who want to go deeper, further,

and wiser in their yoga practice.

These sessions are created for practitioners who not only want to deepen their practice, but also to better understand those tricky or “advanced” (as they’re sometimes called 😉) poses — all within the safety and support

of a small group. They’re also for anyone curious about yoga who wants to move beyond asana, exploring how strength, mobility, flexibility, breath, and awareness come together.

 

What is the Peak Pose Lab format?

Every two months, we meet for a 90-minute class that guides you through a complete process — from carefully planned preparation and technical drills, through fluid movement and flow, and finally toward a culmination in the peak pose.

Examples of peak poses include:

Peacock Pose, Headstand, Splits, Eight-Angle Pose, and more.
No boredom guaranteed 😄 — but plenty of deep satisfaction, absolutely.

 

Each 90-minute class is a thoughtful combination of:

  • strength-building

  • mobility and joint preparation

  • flexibility and intelligent stretching

 

All designed to help you truly understand what is needed to approach the focus asana of each Yoga Lab session.
